A special release from Somogyi, this album is completely improvised from start to finish. One piano, one take. The radio static on the record came through onto the recording by surprise and Somogyi decided to keep it and run with it. Hence the title, "Static". She liked the raw, unedited feel of the entire concept, so this piece is also completely unmixed and unmastered to stay true to the vulnerability of the piece. Along with having a knack for improvising piano compositions on the spot, Somogyi decided that making a record of just that was important to her. In October of 2016 is when this music was recorded.
